As humans we are emotions and certainly have periods where we may struggle to varying degrees. We may find ourselves with some difficult emotions, situations or circmustances. Sometimes they may resolve, linger, or even be a constant stress. Therapy is a way to work with someone in navigating our actions and emotions in those overwhelming situations or circumstances. In sessions one talks and works with a therapist. Initially I asses the presenting problem(s) and based on the information provided we develop goals and strategies to accomplish those goals. Goals may certainly be fluid, meaning, they may change along the way which simply means we adjust. While I am "the therapist" this is for you! We work together though I actually rely on you, the expert, to tell me where you want to go. With my professional and life skills I present different strategies we can use as a means of accomplishing our goals during our sessions. Therapy is not for life. It is something utilized to get your life back on track while at the same time, something you will grow from and which you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
