Sexual health is considered a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality. Generally speaking it can be said having health and good sexual health go hand in hand if they don't compliment each other. Unfortunately sometimes when it comes to sex we may struggle for a number of reasons. Sometimes we may actually feel OK about our sex lives but with an interest in improving it or taking it to a different level. Sometimes we may not be too sure about it and in some cases we may struggle to have some joy in it. This may be related to areas such as interest or arousal. Sometimes there can be discomfort or even pain. Perhaps some concerns related to orgasm. All of these may be signs of a"female sexual dysfunction". As one who enjoys practicing sex therapy I really want all of my clients to have a healthy, enjoyable and fulfilling sex life. The aforementioned can impede that. Various factors such as relationships, stress, anxiety or trauma may contribute. It is estimated 40% of women in the United States experience female sexual dysfunction. I can help. In therapy we can discuss an overall history of what may be contributing to your struggles. From there we work towards identifying areas we may want to address and work towards in accomplishing those goals. That may be working on things related to our physical, emotional, mental or social parts of our lives. I provide a safe space in which my goal is to be a witness and a part of your growth, leading to the life you want to live. I look forward to seeing how I may be able to help you.
